Cut, not catalogue
Bar is quoted against the length on the drawing rather than sold in random lengths, because the usable length decides how many parts come out of one cut and therefore the piece price. Where a random length is cheaper for stock, that is stated separately.
Condition
The same grade in annealed and in solution-treated-and-aged condition machines differently and has different properties. Ordering by grade alone leaves the condition open, and the condition is what the drawing usually depends on.
