Finish
| Peeled | Scale and surface defects removed, round and straight |
| Centreless ground | Tighter tolerance and better surface for close-tolerance machining |
| Hot-rolled | As-rolled where the customer machines the surface away |
Length
- Cut to a fixed length from the drawing.
- Random lengths for stock.
- Saw cut or machined ends, to the customer’s requirement.
- Maximum single length confirmed at quotation — it depends on diameter and grade.
